L•O•M is Entering a New Chapter
At the start of this year, I made the huge decision to drastically scale back the business. Like so many independent brands, L.O.M has felt the pressure of rising costs and a shifting social climate — it’s becoming harder and harder to run a business that makes everything ethically and sustainably in the UK.
This has been one of the toughest decisions I’ve had to make. I sadly had to make my amazing team redundant and leave our beloved Brighton studio. L.O.M is now based in my home in St Leonards, where I’m continuing to make and ship orders solo — just as I did when the brand first began.
Why I’ve Had to Say Goodbye to Some Bestsellers
Around the same time as the downsizing, the printers who created our signature lycra, jersey and lounge fabrics went into liquidation. This was a huge blow, as they produced many of our most popular pieces. While I use other suppliers for velvet, georgette, and denim, I haven’t been able to find anything that matches the quality of our iconic lycra — and I won’t compromise by offering a lower-quality version of these designs.
So, sadly, many of those beloved items are no longer in production. There are still a few pieces left in the sale – so if you find your size, snap it up while you can! (Tip: use the size filter when browsing to make it easier.)
What About Festival Wear?
I still have a number of festival-ready pieces available online, and I’ll continue offering those while stock lasts. But the truth is, the festival fashion scene is changing. Competing with fast fashion giants like Shein has made it increasingly difficult for small, slow fashion brands to stay visible — so I’m gently stepping away from that market over the next year.
Shifting Gears: Into Weddings & Bespoke Design
As I step back from large-scale production and the festival circuit, I’m putting my focus into something I’ve always loved: creating truly unique, made-to-order pieces for life’s big moments.
Alongside my Wedding and Gold collections I’m now opening up my books for a limited number of custom wedding outfits and bespoke partywear. Whether you’re planning a non-traditional wedding look, want something wild and wonderful for your hen do, or you're celebrating a milestone event in style — I’d love to work with you to create something magical. This side of L.O.M will continue to grow through 2025, with the goal of making it the heart of the brand by 2026.
Thank You
If you place an order, please check the shipping time at checkout — during busy periods, there may be a slightly longer wait as I’m now doing everything myself. Thank you for your patience and understanding.
To everyone who has supported L.O.M over the years — whether you’ve worn our clothes to festivals, weddings, or wild nights out — thank you. Your support means the world. This isn’t goodbye, it’s just a new rhythm. One that’s slower, more intentional, and still filled with colour, joy and individuality.
With love,
