Since the release of Emerald Fennell’s film Saltburn, and that iconic scene where ‘Murder on the Dancefloor’ is playing, we have had an increase in messages about our Femina Magicae bodysuit that Sophie is wearing on an album cover.

We love it when a song is so well used in a film or TV, and it puts that song straight back into the charts, and in this case, over 20 years after it was released.
Remember when it happened with ‘Running up that Hill’ by Kate Bush when it was used in Stranger Things?

Anyway, as I said in this recent instagram post, Sophie Ellis-Bextor deserves to blow up again. It’s about time.

Ok, so why have you all been messaging us about our bodysuit?

Well, during the lockdown back in 2020 Sophie Ellis-Bextor started these incredible kitchen disco sessions complete with disco lights, disco ball with her adorable children dressed and boogying to the disco karaoke. What an amazing gift for everyone to enjoy during lockdown. Love that.

Here’s video #10 of her lockdown series where she is wearing the bodysuit.
Later the same year she released ‘Kitchen Disco: Sophie Ellis-Bextor's Greatest Hits’, and on the album cover she is wearing our Femina Magicae Black Fringed Bodysuit along with black sequin shorts from our friend Rosa Bloom, making a striking disco outfit.

Honestly it’s surreal every time we see someone wear a piece from our collections. Especially something so bold as the Femina Magicae print. Thank you Sophie.

And with Murder on the Dancefloor hitting the charts again people have seen her amazing outfit and been in touch.

Yes, it is our Femina Magicae Bodysuit with a Neon Orange fringe that you can see Sophie wearing on her Greatest Hits album. You can view the playsuit here. It now comes with customisable fringe options in Neon Green, Neon Orange, Neon Pink, Neon Yellow, Candy Pink and Turquoise.

What is Femina Macigae?

Meaning ‘Magical Woman’ in Latin, Famina Magicae is L.O.M's best selling print of all time. There are colourful shapes (some of them are secret ‘hidden’ shapes 😉) placed on a black background. Available in lycra tops, lycra bottoms, loungewear and accessories to build the perfect ensemble.

Thank you for reading.

All our Love,
